The 1980 MGB Limited Edition was the best MGB ever made. The first Limited’s were shipped into Canada late in 1979. The Limited Edition (Made for the USA) was shipped to the USA in 10/79 (with one fan, rather than two) and for only two months they introduced it with the Champagne interior. The Champagne Interior was discontinued in 2/80 and the manufacture of all MG’s ended in 10/1980. This car was likely made in December of 1979.

It was purchased, kept as new and sold to The New York International Auto Museum. The Museum changed names and locations several times prior to finally disposing of all cars and closing it’s doors. This 1980 MGB was on display for the better part of 10 years and thus had virtually no miles on it. Since the Museum was a "live" display, all cars were driven to displays and the cars oil. Lube and fluids were changed and maintained.
